I was going to nominate the "Official" (Richard Bann) website, now that it has been started up again, but didn't do that in time.

Stan: "What time?"

I voted for Blotto.nl.

My reasons:

1. It's run by Bram Reijnhoudt who is one of the original founders of the Dutch Laurel & Hardy fan club in 1968, since 1971 an official Tent with the Sons of the Desert.

2. A big (the biggest?) portion of the Dutch Laurel & Hardy fans only visit Blotto.nl for their L&H news. So it's important that the site is always up to date. Which the site is. As a matter of fact; the site always has a high standard. (The International (English) version of Blotto Online is not up to date. The Dutch version is.)

3. Blotto.nl has been online since 1996. I feel that a site running for so many years deserves to become L&H Website of 2009. Although there are other excellent sites (in English, yes I know, so much more accessible for worldwide fans) some of them are quite new. That brings me back to my point: I feel a site that has proven to be succesful and of high standard for many years deserves the honor over (fairly) new websites. How great they may be.

I've long been fond of Laurel and Hardy Central, too. It's a well-organized site, with at least basic information on all of the Boys' films, articles on their co-stars, book reviews, etc. and plenty of links to other sites.

Could you just remind folk of how to vote, please, by directing them to the relevant link/page? I know that some people have had difficulty finding it. Thanks,

This is the right page/topic where you can vote!
You see the poll on top of this site. If you have voted already you see the result
but you can't vote again. If you haven't you still can vote for the website of 2009.

Thanks to the person who nominated my site (Online) and for the person who voted.

I cast my vote to Laurel and Hardy Central, but they're all great sites and all deserve the win.
