Laurel and Hardy Wrong Answer Game

Postby KingsOfComedy on 22 Dec 2007, 20:54

Firstly, please excuse my ignorance if this has been done before. For those who have never played this game before this is how it goes: You post a question and then people must respond with the WRONG answer. Here's an example:

Q: Why do Stan and Ollie wear bowler hats?

A: The hat shop was out of berets.

Also, when you post an answer to a question you must also post the new question.

Right, here's one to start:

Why does Ollie twiddle his tie?

(Remember, whoever answers this should also post the next question)

Because he doesn't trust anyone around him enough to squint both eyes- he wants to keep an eye on everyone!

Why does Edgar Kennedy slow burn?
Ollie: "You have to get up pretty early in the morning to fool a Hardy."
Stan: "What time?"

A copy of Hats Off, so he can see his performance in that film!

I always thought that Edgar Kennedy slow burned because he didn't want to burn fast!

Why did Walter Long play a tough sea captain?

He was on a quest to track down the Loch Ness monster and figured that a 'nice' captain approach wouldn't be helpful.

Because when Ollie/Babe took golfing lessons, Stan went to magic trick classes .
(it's sort of a blending of the fictitious L+H with the real men, but this is just a game, anyway!)

I have it from a reliable source that a copy may be found on the Moon because the first astronauts to venture to the moon were watching it and it was mislaid by them.

What does Ollie's signature phrase "Here's another nice mess you've gotten me into" actually mean?

So THAT'S what happened! Well, then- it's about time they went back to go get it!!

It's a recipe for delicious Hungarian goulash, in secret code. I'd like for someone to break that code, so I can eat the goulash. I get hungry every time I hear that phrase!
